Our Mission

To help connect Ultimate Frisbee players to the training program and coach(es) that best fit their needs and help promote businesses that aim to improve health and wellness for players within the sport of Ultimate.

Our Vision

To create an easy-to-use platform that athletes can use to connect with trainers and coaches while centralizing the information within the Ultimate community.

Ari Nelson

My name is Ari Nelson and I’m so excited to be a part of building this product! I’ve been playing Ultimate for the last 10 years, and have experienced the benefits of training with one of the best trainers in the sport. I am excited to offer the resource that I wish I had when I began to play Ultimate to others struggling to find their community in training.

I am passionate about equity and diversity and am enthusiastic about helping all Ultimate players find a trainer and training community that is right for them. There are many ways to train for Ultimate, and there are many trainers, and finding the right fit allows us to play our best game.

Jamie Eriksson

I’m Jamie Eriksson and I’ve been playing competitive ultimate for a little over five years. I have always wanted to help grow the sport of ultimate and its players. It is my belief that expanding the ease of access to, and discovery of, ultimate resources is a major step towards doing so. I recently transitioned into a career for web development, and I am very excited to be combining both my passion for creating beautiful web apps and my passion for ultimate into this product. My goal is to make it easy and enjoyable for you to find, contact, and get started with the ultimate frisbee resource that fits your needs – one that you can feel comfortable and confident in.

Noah Backer

My name Is Noah Backer and I’ve been playing Ultimate for 10 years. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to train with some of the best coaches and trainers in the sport and am passionate about understanding the benefits of each unique approach. Over the years, as a more structured approach to training for Ultimate Frisbee has started to become the norm, one common topic of discussion within the Ultimate community is “what’s the difference between these programs? What does one trainer offer that another one does not, and why are they priced differently?” TrainForUltimate hopes to not only answer that question, but to connect you with the experts that best fit your needs.

Ari, Jamie, and I hope to provide a resource for Ultimate players to use in order to connect with the best resources in our sport, while also promoting local business by highlighting various options for health and wellness in Ultimate.

While we’ve only worked with a handful of trainers in Ultimate, we know there are many others who we haven’t worked with who are talented and knowledgeable about creating strong, healthy Ultimate Frisbee players. If you want to be listed on this site, or know someone else who may be interested, please see this post, which will give more information about marketing yourself on the site.
