About Us:

Danie Proby: I co-founded Elevate Ultimate in 2016 and have dedicated my time to providing youth an awesome and inclusive experience in disc sports. I have been lucky enough to have a wide variety of coaching experience from coaching 6-year-olds to coaching college athletes. I was recently selected as the assistant coach for the U20 women's team and the head coach for the U24 women's team for Team Canada (COVID canceled both of those tournaments though...). My specialties include youth coaching and more specifically, throwing and offense. All proceeds we collect will go to an organization called "Ultimate Spirit": https://bcultimate.ca/ultimate-spirit/

Approach to Training:

I approach the sessions through the lens of my own personal values which are making things approachable, fun, insightful, and welcoming. I provide spaces for athletes to feel that they belong. I find creative ways for athletes to find solutions and fall more in love with the game.

Ultimate Experience:

I found ultimate relatively late (at the age of 21) at the University of Victoria. I played 5 magical years there and then moved to Vancouver and played for Traffic. I have since played on SHH and other teams. I was also selected for Team Canada Mixed Masters but like my coaching opportunities, this was also canceled because of COVID.
